Customer Requirement
Our customer required a custom case for a tripod-mounted gimbal head, with specific features including a reinforced handle and Velcro closure.
A gimbal head for a tripod is a specialized type of tripod head designed to support and maneuver heavy camera setups, particularly those involving large telephoto lenses. It allows for smooth, fluid movement in all directions, making it ideal for wildlife, sports, and action photography.
Our Solution
We developed multiple prototypes and evaluated various closure methods to determine the most effective solution. A zippered closure proved to be the most practical, offering ease of access while maintaining security. Due to the gimbal head’s unique shape, the case was custom-fitted to ensure proper support and protection. We selected 3mm neoprene for its protective qualities, ensuring the case could absorb minor impacts while maintaining a lightweight profile.

Customer Feedback
After evaluating the initial prototypes and determining which design best met their functional and aesthetic requirements, the customer provided positive feedback, stating, ‘Rollout was great and they love the cases.’ Based on this success, they proceeded to place an order for 30 additional custom cases!
